This Privacy Policy explains how Roostie ("Roostie", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Roostie website at roostie.app and the Roostie hotel price-tracking service (together, the "Service"). Roostie is operated by Importify Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account and contact details — such as your email address when you sign up, join the waitlist, or contact us.
Watch details — the hotels, check-in/check-out dates, guest counts, currency, and any target price you ask us to monitor.
Messaging identifiers — if you choose to receive alerts on Telegram, the chat identifier needed to deliver messages to you.

Information collected automatically

Usage data — pages viewed, features used, and actions taken within the Service.
Device and connection data — IP address, browser type, device type, and similar technical information.
Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 3.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide the Service — monitor the hotels and dates you choose and show their prices over time;
Send you the alerts and notifications you request (including via email or Telegram);
Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
Respond to your messages and provide support;
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure the Service, and understand how it is used. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the Service works.

When you click a link to a third-party booking site, that site may set its own cookies, including cookies that attribute a resulting booking to Roostie (see Section 4). These cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy policy.

4. Affiliate links

Affiliate disclosure. Roostie participates in affiliate programs operated by online travel agencies and their partners (for example Booking.com, Agoda, and Trip.com). When you click a booking link in the Service and complete a booking, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the prices we display or which deals we surface — the cheapest verified option is always shown first.

To attribute eligible bookings, these partners may place a cookie or pass a tracking parameter when you follow our link. We do not receive your payment details, and bookings are completed entirely on the third party's website under its own terms and privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run the Service:

Service providers — hosting, database, email delivery, messaging (such as Telegram), and analytics providers that process data on our behalf.
Booking and price-data partners — we query publicly available hotel pricing to power the Service, and we link out to online travel agencies and affiliate partners (Section 4). We do not share your account details with them; any data shared occurs when you choose to follow a link.
Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Roostie, our users, or others.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (Section 7).

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:

Update or delete your watches and account details within the Service;
Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message, or stop Telegram alerts at any time;
Contact us (Section 12) to exercise any of your rights.

We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International users

Roostie is operated by Importify Limited from Hong Kong, and your information may be processed in Hong Kong and other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
